River Market. Chef/Proprietor Mano Rafael and wife, Barbara, invite you to experience fresh
and elegant food, soft lighting, cozy tables, charming waiters and an atmosphere that is
relaxing, fun and totally unpretentious.
Barbara, who grew up in Kansas City, ventured to New York to pursue an acting career and
found work as a part-time bartender in a restaurant owned by Mano and his brother. The rest as they say,
is history. The Rafaels have built a loyal following with consistently highly rated food and service and a sense of playfulness that brings patrons such special
events as the annual Bastille Day Celebration and the monthly Night of Song.
